When every call has a price on it

If you pay for IT support by the job, every call is a small decision about money.

Before you pick up the phone, the questions start. What will they charge just to take a look? And if it's the same fault as last time, am I paying twice?

So the small stuff gets left: the printer nobody can fix, and the login for someone who left in March that still works. Added up, it costs your team time, and the bill, when it comes, is whatever it is.

Why we set the plan up this way

Phil has been the customer on the other end of this, with suppliers who seemed to have someone employed just to find more to charge for. We built the plan so IT is one decision instead of forty small ones. There are no problems too big or small when you're on a plan.

Behind that, we've got software that proactively keeps an eye on your IT setup around the clock, catching the things that turn into outages later: a network component that's starting to fail, or, if you've got backups running, one that stopped three weeks ago and told nobody. We'd rather sort those before you notice than after they've stopped your day.

It's also part of why the plan costs what it does. We don't need accounts people or extra technicians, and the software does a lot of the routine work.

What the plan covers

Everything below is part of the plan, from $30 + GST per user per month.

Unlimited support, every device

Call about anything, as often as you need. Nobody's counting your calls

Support 8:30 to 5:00, Monday to Friday

Phone, email, remote, and a visit when that's what it takes, at no extra cost

When something breaks, we fix it

Whatever's stopped working. Call, and we'll work out what kind of problem it is

The upkeep that stops things breaking

Antivirus, security updates, monitoring, and keeping your Microsoft 365 setup in order, whether or not you've called

A written report every month

The equipment you've got, and every job we did that month, including the ones we sorted before you had to ask. You can see what you're paying for

Urgent jobs first

Every job is marked Critical, Urgent or Normal against written definitions. If yours waits, you know why

No charging twice

Something that needs another look isn't billed as a new job

Our specialist network

The phone, electrical and networking people we already work with, so one call covers more than IT

How we count devices

Each person is covered for up to three devices on one charge, so their desktop and laptop count once. Shared machines, and ones that run on their own, are counted separately. Staff who only use email on their phone aren't charged.

What sits outside the plan

Hardware, and anything we buy on your behalf. New equipment, a new system, moving premises, or setting up a computer for a new member of staff are quoted as their own job, at a lower rate for plan members. Once it's in place, whether it's a computer, your cabling and wi-fi or your phone system, keeping it running is covered. Your Microsoft 365 subscription is billed in addition to the plan fee, though looking after your 365 setup is part of the plan. Managed offsite backup works the same way: it's a separate service, and if you have it, the monitoring that watches it is part of the plan.

Anything outside the plan, we tell you before we start. For urgent work outside business hours, that includes the likely cost.

What you can call us about

These are calls from businesses on the plan. Every one of them is covered.

"I've got a new phone and I've forgotten my password"

New phone, and now your email wants a password you haven't typed in two years. We get you back into your account and your email working on the new phone.

"My computer won't turn on and I'm not sure what to do"

Call before you try anything. It might be something we can talk you through on the phone. If not, we come to you. If a part has died, you hear what a replacement costs before anything is bought.

"I've lost the accounts inbox"

When the inbox your invoices and bills go through disappears, money stops moving. We work out what's happened to it and get it back in front of the people who need it.

"We changed internet providers and now our printer's not working"

A new provider can mean a new box in the cupboard, and the printer is still looking for the old one. We get them talking to each other again.

"My printer's not printing A3 any more"

It sounds small until you need a drawing printed for a ten o'clock meeting. No worries, that's what the plan is for.

"I think my account's been hacked"

Call straight away rather than waiting to see. We get you back in control of it, then check what was sent or changed while someone else had it.

Who the plan is for

It suits you if you've got 1 to 20 computers and nobody on staff whose job is IT.

You've probably had a provider before, or you've been holding it together yourself and it's got too big for that. Either way, you want it handled by someone who knows how your business runs.

When your records matter, it helps that only a small team you know has access to your systems.

When a plan makes sense, and when it doesn't

A plan is worth it when you need IT support week in, week out.

If you call someone twice a year and that's all you need, a plan is the wrong shape, and we'll tell you so. It's built for you if the small problems never really stop, and an unpredictable monthly bill is a headache of its own.

What happens when you log a job

If we need something from you to finish a job, we'll tell you.

  1. You call or email
    Any job, any size.
  2. Phil gets back to you
Within 60 minutes, in business hours.
  3. It's booked in
    By how urgent it is.
  4. It's sorted
And we let you know when it's done.

No fix, no fee

If we can't fix the problem, you don't pay for the attempt. If we'd already bought a part or a licence having a go, that's ours to return or wear.

You'll hear back within 60 minutes

Every job you log gets a phone call or an email back from a person inside the hour (within business hours). It's written into the support agreement.

Before you sign up

How soon can we start?

As soon as you like. There's nothing to wait on at our end.

Do we need to get anything ready first?

No. We start with the free audit below, and anything we need to know comes out of that.

What if we want to leave?

Leaving costs you nothing. We already hold the records of how your setup works, and they're yours to take to whoever looks after you next.
